600 more Somali soldiers passed-out at Bihanga Military school
603 Somali troops were on Thursday May 10, 2012 'passed-out' upon completion of a six-month training exercise at Bihanga Military Training School in the western Ugandan district of Ibanda. Somali soldiers who trained along with 248 Ugandan soldiers under the tutorage of European Union soldiers and their counter-parts of the Uganda People's Defence Forces UPDF have among other skilled been schooled in urban warfare and moving through hostile territory.
Deputy Secretary General of the European external action service (EEAS) Mr Maciej Popowski, represented the European Union along with EU head of Delegation to Uganda ambassador Roberto Ridolfi and colleagues from some EU member states in Kampala namely Italy, France, Sweden.
Gen. Jeje Odongo, The state minister for Defence represented government of Uganda along with Gen. Katumba Wamala the Commander of Lando forces of the UPDF. From Somalia was the State minister of Defence as well as Maj. Gen. Abdulkadir Ali Dini, Somalia Amy Chief.
